10 Steps To Heal Your Body From Within!

When it comes to healing our body’s from illness, chronic disease, or any other aliment that we may be suffering from, its important to realise that we actually posses everything we need deep inside us.

What does healing actually mean?

It’s to become healthy again.

Healthy – returning the body to its natural state of equilibrium. A state where by everything is operating at it’s optimal performance. All your organs, tissues and cells are clean, fully functioning and well balanced.

What does healthy actually feel like?

When you are truly healthy, your body should feel an abundance of energy, your muscles and joints are pain free, you feel light, open, and emotionally stable. Your mind feels clear and calm, your gut is comfortable and free from bloating or flatulence and body should feel hydrated and relaxed.

So how is it that we loose our innate ability to feel this good?

With the way our busy lifestyles are set up these days, it is easy to fall into bad habits that do not serve our bodies optimally.

The closer we are to the way nature intended, the better we will feel.

But also, the closer we are to ourselves and the deeper connection we can have with our own body, mind and spirit, the greater our health results will be.

The main key to healing your body from within is to learn how to use the best of nature as well as your own inner healing abilities to bring your body back to it’s natural rhythm.

The following information is designed to give you some simple steps to begin your journey back to your personal equilibrium!

Know your limits!

Depending on where you are right now on your healing journey will depend on how many of these steps you will be able to follow. It’s not about getting it exact; it’s about making a start.

To begin with, you may only be able to accomplish a very small amount of the changes in this guide, or perhaps you are able to complete them all, but not very well.

The important thing here is to listen to your body, know your limits and each day try to stretch it a little more. Before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to feeling a little better, followed by a little more, until finally you will be feeling fantastic!

  1. Start your day with a morning routine!

Getting up each day to a morning routine of quiet self-reflection, clearing out your lymphatic system, gentle yoga/stretching and meditation with some light exercise, and a healthy breakfast will train your body to make the most of your day, and get you into some great habits that will continue to reflect throughout your life.

You may choose to come up with your own morning routine, as this is something that is very personalised to you.  However make a commitment to yourself now that you will no longer lie in bed until the last minute, and wake up feeling sluggish and tired for the rest of the day.

Give your mind, body and spirit the best start to the day that it deserves!

  1. Detox Your Home!

Most people don’t realise just how much the toxins in our home can affect us. So if you have already done this step then well done, you’re in the top 10% of people who live in a toxic free environment.

Toxins can be found in the chemicals we use to clean, the chemicals in the skin care we use, mould in the walls, the pesticides in our foods, weed sprays in the garden, pest control in our homes and the chemicals in our drinking water.

Having a small amount of toxins on the rare occasion is fine for our body’s to manage, as our liver is designed to clear toxins out. However with the large amount of toxins in our environment, combined with the toxins in our food and beverages, work environments, negative emotions and the air we breath, our livers are having a tough time keeping up!

  1. Consume an Alkalised Diet!

Cleaning up your diet is an essential part of healing our body. Our cells are constantly changing, growing, moving and developing, and they rely on the nutrition that we get in out diets to do this. We are literally made up of what we eat!

Consuming a diet high in processed sugars, trans fats and preservatives is not only preventing our body from getting good nutrition, but is also doing great harm to the cells that are already functioning well.

This creates inflammation in the body, which is where all disease comes from.

Alkalising your body with organic fruit and vegetables will assist with keeping the inflammation levels down, thus helping to heal from within.

  1. Heal Your Gut!

Generally speaking, our guts are where all illness starts. If your gut is not right then your health is not right.

Why is this?

As we consume the fuel for our bodies (our food), the body breaks down the food in the digestive system and removes all of the nutrients required to feed our cells and keep us functioning. These nutrients are excreted through our intestinal walls and into our blood stream and are then delivered to all our tissues and organs.

If our intestinal lining is damaged and inflamed then the food particles leak out into our blood stream before they have been correctly broken down. These particles are foreign to the ones that our immune system is expecting, and as our immune system mainly functions in our blood stream, it will begin to attack these foreign particles, thus creating inflammation and disease.

Repairing your gut is a crucial step to healing our bodies from within!

  1. Drink Pure Water!

This step is often easily overlooked, yet it is one of the most important ones! Our body’s are made up of up to 75% water! Most of the processes in our bodies rely on water. Our brain needs it to function, our digestive system needs it to digest, our kidneys need it to filter our blood, and our skin needs it to stay supple and hydrated, just to name a few!

When we drink dirty, unfiltered water, it’s the same as saying, ‘it’s ok for me to have a dirty and unfiltered body”.

Drinking as close to nature as possible is best, so if you have access to clean, fresh spring water then please drink this. Not the water that is bought from bottles, this water is usually a minimum of 2 years old and is generally poured into the bottles while the bottle is still warm, thus leaving a plastic residue in the water.

If you do not have access to fresh, clean spring water, then getting a good quality filter is the next best thing.

  1. Spend Time in Nature – Connect to the Earth!

It is our purest natural state to be deeply imbedded in nature and connected to our planet. Yet with the way our lifestyles are set up these days, most of us spend 90% of our days inside. Crazy right!

Getting some sun each day is essential for healing. Filling our lungs with fresh air will help to remove toxins from our body, and putting our bare feet into the earth will help to reduce the toxins running through our bodies from the Wi-Fi and other electro magnetic waves in the air.

Try to get some time outside on a daily basis, if possible a minimum of an hour a day!

  1. Nourish Your Body with Nature!

Along with us having all the innate healing abilities within us, nature has also provided us with everything we need to heal. Our bodies are made up of organic matter, the same as found in nature. The plants, minerals, cultures, foods, water, vibrations and animals are all designed to work with us in our journey to maintain equilibrium.

Nature has herbs and plants for every health ailment that are designed to work with our organ systems to bring balance back to our well-being. The cleaner our bodies are, the better equipped they are to receive the healing from nature!

  1. Listen to Your Body!

Our bodies talk to us in ways that we can understand, (if we know how to listen). Every illness, pain, dull ache or twitch is trying to tell us something. Sometimes the messages will be subtle, as other times they will be loud and clear!

By spending time quietly reflecting on a daily basis, you will begin to develop a stronger connection with your body and thus learn how to interpret what it may be trying to tell you.

An example of an obvious message might be having an earache as this may be trying to tell you that there is an important message that you’re not able to listen to. Or constipation may mean that there is something in your life that you need to let go of.

However other times there might be a deeper messages that may be a little harder to understand. This becomes easier with daily practice and can be a great tool in understanding the deeper reasons behind our health issues.

  1. Move Your Body!

Daily movement of our bodies is an essential part to maintaining health and balance. While our circulatory system has our heart organ to continue pumping the blood around our bodies, our lymphatic system is in charge of pumping the waste through to get it ready for elimination. However, our lymphatic system relies on us walking and moving our bodies in order to keep it flowing. With minimal movement, our bodies can become sluggish and stagnated, making it harder to release the toxins that are contributing to our health concerns.

Another important part of health is our breath!

Many people just do not breath deeply enough, which leads to less oxygen circulating through our blood stream to feed and nourish our cells. When we exercise, we naturally breathe deeper, thus restoring vitality to our entire being.

Make a commitment to yourself to try to get at least 15-20 minutes of exercise daily. Whether it be as gentle as a casual to brisk walk, or a yoga session, or as intense as a high impact workout. Find what works best for your body to make it a fun, enjoyable experience. You will feel great for it!

  1. Love Your Body!

This is by far the most important step to take, so if you are looking at only one to begin with, start here!

As a human race, we thrive from love!

And what better way to find the love you are seeking then to give it to yourself.

As Rumi states “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to find all the barriers within yourself you have built against it”.

This is what healing from within is all about!

We block our love from deep beliefs of unworthiness, self loathing, and self-unacceptance.

We compare ourselves to everyone else, creating unrealistic expectations of ourselves.

The journey to go deep within and find the love and acceptance that our body is craving is the way of the path to fully healing our mind, body and soul!

So to begin this journey, simply seek within yourself something that you can completely love and appreciate about yourself. Now focus on this aspect everyday. Feel the love and meditate on it.

As this becomes easier, then move on to other areas of yourself that you may not love quite so much. This will be easier once you learn how to clear the blocks that are creating the disconnect.

Practise daily and it will all become clearer and easier each day!

By following all of the steps you have just read through in this guide, your health status will rapidly change. I wish you all the best of luck in your health journey, and may it be a pleasant and fulfilling way to spend the rest of your life!
